2017 was the 20th Anniversary of Wyre Forest Young Voices. A wonderful celebration was held in Kidderminster Town Hall to mark this occasion and was attended by current members, parents, pastoral carers, music professionals and KCS members, together with many Alumni members, including some from the start.
The evening featured some beautiful music from past and present members, together with some very moving speeches from Musical Director, Geoff Weaver and KCS Chairman, Rob Jones. A huge anniversary cake was cut by the oldest Alumni member and the youngest current member. The event was a great celebration of this milestone in the choir’s history and a fitting tribute to all those who established the choir in 1997, as well as an occasion to thank to all those who have been involved ever since.
The choir continues to provide a wonderful musical opportunity to young people in the Wyre Forest and long may it continue.
