Sadly we are no longer able to rehearse at Baxter United Reformed Church Hall which has been our rehearsal home since 1961. Although our earliest use of the hall dates back to 1958; some 63 years! Many members will have only known Baxter Hall as our rehearsal venue. It has been a great space for us, with wonderful acoustics and a good venue until recent times. Sadly the building there has been deteriorating and with a lack of funds for the necessary improvements the future of the building is unsure. With the building closed for the immediate future we had no choice but to find ourselves a new rehearsal home.
Gladly we have secured rehearsal space in Trinity Methodist Church Hall, just off the ring road in Kidderminster. This venue we hope will suit us well. Parking is ample and very convenient, there is a good size rehearsal room and all facilities are on the ground floor. We have been lucky and fortunate to secure somewhere that is available on a Thursday and for times to suit not just us but our youth choir, WFYV, as well.
We know many members will be sad to say goodbye to the blue door at Baxter that they must have been through so many times, but we hope you we will be happy singing in our new rehearsal home. We will final start rehearsing there (Covid-restrictions permitting!) in September 2021.
